Mrs. Anna Marie Payne, 82, of 523 Dawson St., died at Allen Hospital at 1:45 p.m. Friday of J a heart condition.

She was born Nov. 29, 1897, in Bassett, Wis., the daughter of Frank* and Anna Overcamp. She was married to Jessie J. Payne on Sept. 19. 1911, in Osage. They came to Waterloo in 1911. She was a member of the CIO Auxiliary No. 272.

Survivors include four sons, Walter F. Payne, of Dallas, Tex., Howard K Payne of New Carrollton, Md., LaVerne of 523 Dawson St., Robert J. Payne of 1823 Plymouth St.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Ryan of Lincoln, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 8 a.m. Monday at the Parrott and Wood Funeral Home. Friends may call after noon today at Parrott and Wood.

Researcher Chuck S. has: Daughter of William and Anna (Kersting) Overcamp.
The 1900 & 1920 census shows an Anna Overcamp married to a William. That Anna was born about 1860 - lived in Wisc, and Mitchell Co, where Anna (the subject of the obit), married Jessie Payne.
