Funeral services for John Henry Hurd, jr., 17, of 1013 Sheffield Avenue, will be conducted at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday in the Kearns Garden Chapel by Rev. Eugene Miller, a lay minister and member of the Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Hurd collapsed and died, apparently of a heart attack, while delivering groceries Saturday afternoon.

Casket bearers will be Rex Foster, John Andrews, William Bodwell, John Jackson, Jerry Miller and Ray Bixby.
