Emanuel E. Lumbus, 1527 Washington Street, died at 8:30 a. m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Hospital, of a heart ailment. He was 81 years old and had been a patient in the hospital for a week.

He had lived in Black Hawk County for 42 years. He had been a farmer near Eagle Center and later was employed by the Galloway Company here.

The son of Samuel and Josephine Lumbus, he was born Feb. 23, 1860, in Wisconsin. He married Hannah L. Buxton March 17, 1889, in Waterloo. She died here last Nov. 1.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Fay. 1803 La Porte Road, and Mrs. Elizabeth Walters, 1819 Ridgeway Avenue, and two brothers, Samuel, 606 Fowler Street, and David, Dunkerlon. la.

The body was taken to the Kearns Garden chapel.
