WATERLOO - Douglas Lynn Hanesford, 48, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, of heart failure.

He was born Nov. 1, 1957, in Aurora, Ill., son of Donald and Deloris Hanesford.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1975 and served in the armed forces from 1977 to 1984.

He was a carpenter for the same company for the past 12 years.

Survivors include a son, Tyler of Phoenix; a brother, Don of Raymond; four sisters, Brenda (Dave) Caselli of Collinsville, Ill., Diane (Chuck) Ramirez of Buckeye, Ariz., Barbara Bruno of Waterloo and Janet Hanesford of Manchester; 16 nieces and nephews; a great-niece, Alyvia of Waterloo; and two great-nephews, Dillan and Dominick of Phoenix.

Preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Leslie and Myrtle Henson; and paternal grandparents, David and Hazel Colwell.

Memorial services will take place Thursday in Phoenix.
