WATERLOO —Alverna Mae Casey, 93, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Washington Township, daughter of John J. and Susie Ehr Weber. She married Maurice J.P. Casey on May 12, 1937, in Independence. He died April 20, 1998.

Mrs. Casey was a homemaker.

Survived by a son, Pat Casey of Waterloo; a daughter, Mary Sue Dwyer of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Jensen; a son, Dennis; a grandson, Pat Casey Jr.; and a son-in-law, Charles Dwyer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
