WATERLOO - Larry Allen Draeger, 61, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, of cancer.

He was born July 10, 1945, in Waterloo, son of Clarence and Dora Monahan Draeger. On Jan. 29, 1966, he married Vonna Brunson in Waterloo and they later divorced. On June 12, 2004, he married Diana Smith in Waterloo.

Mr. Draeger received his education in Waterloo, then served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 2000.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott (Sandra) of Newport News, Va.; a daughter, Tammy (Pat) O'Connor of Alleman; two stepsons, Joshua Smith of Waterloo and Jason Smith of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Justin Draeger, Brittney O'Connor and Bryan Draeger; a great-grandchild, Sydney Ware; two brothers, David of Waterloo and Edwin of Des Moines; and a sister, Lucille (Wendall) Bartlett of Des Moines;

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
