Services for Mrs. Helen De Groote, 42, of 241 Fairfield Ave., are tentatively set for Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mrs. DeGroote died early Thursday morning in Rochester, Minnesota, from complications of cancer.

She was born June 30, 1937, in Albany, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Marie Dirkes Timmer. She married Virgil De Groote on June 2,1962, in Waterloo.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Christopher and Curtis, both at home; three daughters: Karen, Theresa and Sharon, all at home; three brothers: LaVerne Timmer of Hastings, Minn., Donald Timmer of Lake View, Minnesota, and Robert Timmer of Albany, Minnesota; three sisters: Gloria Timmer of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Mrs. Joyce Lahr of Cold Springs, Minnesota, and Mrs. Rose Marie Torrie of Sacramento, California.

Memorials may be given to Blessed Sacrament Church or Columbus High School.

Friends may call at Oppold Funeral Home after noon Friday.
