WATERLOO - Kay F. "Shorty" Otto Dixon Wheeler, 61, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, March 28, 2006, of cancer.

She was born July 23, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Aurther and Dollie D. Morgansen, and after her parent's divorced was raised by her mother and stepfather, Elmer J. Otto. She married Dallas F. Dixon on Feb. 9, 1965, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced. She married Richard E. Wheeler on March 9, 1985, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced.

Ms. Wheeler graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1964.

Survivors include a son, Douglas Duane (Colleen) Dixon of Alta Vista; three daughters, Teresa Lynn Sells of Finchford, Beverly Ann (Jimmy "Butch") Parker of Clover, S.C., and Michele Lee (William H.) Clark Jr. of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Elmer Otto of Springfield, Miss.

Preceded in death by her mother, Dolly Dimple; her father, Elmer John Otto; and an infant sister Jessie.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Waterloo Church of Christ. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, An Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
