WATERLOO - William P. Sulentic Sr., 97, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Friendship Village Lakeview Landing.

He was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Waterloo, son of Peter and Bessie Potucek Sulentic. He married Marian Jacobsen on April 14, 1941, in Waterloo; she died Jan. 28, 1997. He married Zora Lemley on Dec. 3, 1997; she died Jan. 10, 2007.

Mr. Sulentic graduated from St. Mary’s in Waterloo and attended the University of Iowa. He was employed as department head/traffic manager with Waterloo Industries for 32 years, retiring in 1975.

Survived by a son, William "Bill" P. Jr. (Marcia) of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Carolyn (Dr. Paul) Weber, Mark Sulentic, Michael (Elizabeth) Sulentic and Kathy Sulentic; eight great-grandchildren: Emily, Nicholas (Christine) and Andrew Weber (Liz Moore), Alexander, Lauren and Luke Sulentic, and Sophia and Noah Sulentic; and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Sulentic of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Ronald; three sisters, Bette Sulentic Frink, Delores Fideler and Jeanne Johnston; and a brother, Arthur R.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Friendship Village.
