Word has been received by A.R. Ferguson, 320 Fremont street, of the death of his brother, Charles A. Ferguson, 71, Wednesday morning in San Antonio, Tex.

From 1931 to 1941, Charles Ferguson had been employed as a soliciter for the Smith & Miller Insurance Agency, Waterloo. In 1904, he was one of the organizers of the Ferguson Manufacturing Company, which was engaged in the well drilling business until 12 years ago. His last two winters were spent in San Antonio.

The body is expected to arrive at 10:30 Friday morning and will be taken to the Kearns Garden chapel.

Charles A. Ferguson was born Jan. 7, 1872, in Bennington township, Black Hawk County, Iowa, the son of Edward and Isabel (Cummings) Ferguson. He married Alice Cary on June 29, 1898. She died Aug. 2, 1940. Mr. Ferguson's home for the last 20 years was at 1714 Franklin Street.

Surviving are the brother, A. R. Ferguson, and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Noble, Long Beach, Cal.

Three brothers, George, Robert, and Stephen, preceded him in death.

He was a lifelong member of Grace Methodist church and served two years as a member of the board of deacons.
