WATERLOO - Betty J. Ehrhardt, 88, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Windermere of Western Home Communities of pulmonary fibrosis.

She was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Chris and Gae Short Olson. She married Kenneth J. Ehrhardt on May 22, 1954, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died on May 28, 2002.

Mrs. Ehrhardt received her GED in 1976 through Hawkeye Community College, and she worked at Revco Drug in cosmetics for several years in Cedar Falls. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Survived by two daughters, Patricia (Gary) Tann of Waterloo and Joanne (Jim) Amstutz of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren, Kristina, Tonya, James, Tara, David and Nick; and a brother in law, Merle Schauer of Banning, Calif.

Preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Marjorie Schauer; and a brother, Richard Olson.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and Western Home At Home.

She loved to bowl at Maple Lanes. She enjoyed her garden, quilting, crocheting, crafts, and playing cards and games with her family and friends.
