WATERLOO - Elizabeth Morris, 96, of Friendship Village, died at Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Friendship Village.

She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in St. Louis, daughter of Edward and Florence Porter Morris.

She graduated from Lincoln High School, Des Moines, in 1934 and Capitol City Commercial College, Des Moines, in 1936. Elizabeth worked for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore for two years and Waterloo from 1939 until retiring in 1979. She joined Walnut Ridge Baptist Church when she came to Waterloo, was church treasurer, taught Sunday School, sang in trios and duets, and was an AWANA leader.

Survived by nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Paul Morris; and a sister, Anita McClelland.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel at Friendship Village, preceded by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be for an hour before the service Friday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Walnut Ridge Baptist Church or Friendship Village Auxiliary.
