EDAR FALLS - Paul E. Meyermann, 59, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of pancreatic cancer.

He was born Dec. 29, 1953, in Council Bluffs, son of Gerald W. and Marianna Brandt Meyermann. He married Priscilla Rowland Jorgensen on Dec. 28, 1980, in Des Moines.

Mr. Meyermann graduated in 1972 from Abraham Lincoln High School, Council Bluffs, and from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree as a landscape architect in 1977. In 1985, he began working for the University of Northern Iowa as the campus landscape architect. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, a Boy Scout of America volunteer and past chairman of the Cedar Falls planning and zoning commission.

Survived by his wife; a son, Kurt of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Steve of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Linda Meyermann of Omaha; a nephew, Ralph Meyermann; and a great-niece, Madison Meyermann.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Paul was a dedicated conservationist. He loved to work, play and mountain bike. He built a mountain bike trail in Camp Ingawanis.
