CEDAR FALLS - Aloha J. Wymore, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born May 2, 1935, in Tama County, daughter of Carey V. and Neva I. Rucker Hatcher. She married Larry Wymore on Oct. 9, 1983, in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

A 1953 graduate of Newton High School, Newton, Mrs. Wymore was a daycare provider in Cedar Falls; a concrete pump dispatcher in Santa Cruz, Calif., and a freelance writer.

Survived by her husband; a son, Gary (Lorraine) Ihnen; three stepdaughters, Star (Casey) McBrian of San Jose, Calif., Jeanette Wymore and Donette Smart, both of Napa, Idaho; three stepsons, Dwyer (Denise) Wymore of Santa Cruz, and Everette and Ray (Christina) Wymore, both of Napa; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlette (Steve) Novak of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a niece, Terri Kahler; and two brothers-in-law, Kevin and Leon Wymore.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens at a later date. Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
