CEDAR FALLS - Shirley Pearson, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born Oct. 26, 1931, near Salem, daughter of Leslie M. and Frances E. White Harlan. She married Loy P. Pearson; he died in 1978.

Mrs. Pearson was employed as a registered nurse with Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo., hospitals in Las Vegas and Baltimore, and then Sartori Memorial Hospital for 20 years.

Survived by a son, Michael (Maxine) of England; a daughter, Anne Pearson of Phoenix; and a brother, Jim Harlan of Janesville.

Preceded in death by a brother, Fred Harlan; and a sister, Delores Benton.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Cemetery, Salem. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service.
