WATERLOO -- Shirley Ann Blackford, 62, of Anamosa, formerly of Marion and Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.

She was born March 11, 1951, in Waterloo, daughter of Frank and Gladys Sommerfelt Foster. She married Ronald Erne at the Little Brown Church in 1972. In November of 1998 she married Ralph Blackford.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1968 and Hamilton Business College. She worked as a medical secretary, then at Kum and Go in Elk Run Heights and later at Bertch Cabinets in Waterloo.

Survived by three daughters, Dana (Stephan) Peterson of Anamosa, Kara (Jon) Dornbusch of Cedar Rapids and Kelci (John Souza) Erne of Seattle; two stepdaughters, Angela Wilson of Georgia and Aimee Erne of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Eleanor McGowan, Howard and Darwin Foster, all of Waterloo, Myron Foster of Texas, and Steven Foster of Solon.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sharon E. Andorf.

Celebration of life: 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 22 at Sally's On Broadway, Springville. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, is assisting the family.
