WATERLOO - Cherrie Rae Cain-Thorn Neuendorf, 67, of Montrose, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.

She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Waterloo, and was adopted by Paul and Leila Cain. She married Carl Stephen Thorn. On March 30, 1981, she then married Rickie Neuendorf.

Survived by: her five children, LeaAnne, Terri and Stephen Thorn, Tracy Noland and Chrissy Hartman; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; foster children, Cindy Kothenbeutel, Randy and Roger Goodell, and several other foster children; her brother, John Briesler of Minnesota; and her sister, Susan Kozik of Georgia.

Celebration of life: 1 p.m. today at Sunset Mesa Funeral Home, Montrose.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Cherrie's loving, generous spirit touched everyone she met and she will be forever loved by all who knew her. We love you Hon, Sweetie, Mom, Ma, Moo-ma, Mommy, Grandma, G-ma, Na-Na, Sister and Friend. You will be greatly missed! The angels are ready to deal you in!
