David Eastman, 77, formerly of 726 Black Hawk Road, died Thursday at 11:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lillian Manson, Elkader, Iowa, of a heart ailment.

He was born May 16, 1870 in Naborling, Illinois, but lived in Waterloo since he was 20 years old.

Mr. Estman married Emma Gushard in Waterloo on February 3, 1893. He was formerly a foreman at Waterloo Water Works.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Manson, with whom he hs recently been living, are three other daughters, Mrs. Daisy Donahue, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Rose Wyent, Reinbeck, Iowa, and Mrs. Emma Lorenzen, Davenport, Iowa; three sons, David, Davenport, Iowa, Donald, 320 Columbia Street, and Robert 111 Main Street; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kistners Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Pritz, associate pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
