Kevin J. Penne, 62, of Gilbertville, died Wednesday June 10, 2008, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, Cedar Falls.

He was born April 19, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Thomas B. and Bernice Bernard Penne. Mr. Penne graduated from Columbus High School in 1965 and from Hawkeye Community College in 1984 with an Associate Degree in Security and Loss Prevention. He held several jobs over the years beginning with Jack Castle Motors Hawkeye Steel Home Shopping and Securitas at GMAC.

Survivors include two brothers, Thomas of Gilbertville, and James (Beverly) of Waterloo; a nephew Stephen (Davina) Penne of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin; a niece Christine (Brian) Schmidtke of Waterloo; and three great nephews: Cameron, Everett, and Patrick.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Stephen L. Penne.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Queen Of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Order Of Foresters rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will also be at the church for an hour before services on Saturday.

Memorials to American Cancer Society or Cedar Valley Hospice.
