REINBECK - Marilyn G. Gill, 78, of Waterloo, formerly of Hudson, Brandon, La Porte City and Reinbeck, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo.

She was born March 12, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of James F. and Minerva Karkosh. She married James F. Gill on Aug. 14, 1950, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Waterloo. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Gill graduated from Reinbeck High School, then attended the University of Northern Iowa. She worked as a dance, ballet, baton and aerobic instructor, as well as a travel agent in later years.

Survived by a daughter, Lani Jo “Gill” (Scott) Flesch of Libertyville, Ill.; and two granddaughters.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Leisa Ann Gill.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ, Reinbeck, with burial in West View Cemetery, La Porte City. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck.
