Funeral services for Amos R. Troutman, 63, of 2245 East Fourth Street, an engineer and employee of the Illinois Central Railroad for 43 years, who died early Friday in Illinois Central Hospital, Chicago, after an operation Tuesday, will be held here at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Calvary Evangelical Church with Rev. Raymon Ferguson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Sunday prior to services.

Born Nov. 15, 1880, in North Umberland County, PA., the son of Samuel and Louise Stepp Troutman, he came to Waterloo at the age of 19. Two years later he was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad as fireman and later as engineer.

After an earlier marriage that terminated in a divorce, he married Mabel Cone Kortright July 22, 1919, in Waterloo.

He was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Church and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Surviving besides his wife, are one step-daughter, Mrs. C. Albert Overton; a sister, Mrs. Oscar Kessler, Erdman, PA; a brother, Lloyd, Mt. Carmel, PA.; a half-sister, Mrs. Will Klock, Treverton, PA; and a half-brother, Will Klinger, Erdmann, PA.

His parents, two brothers, two sisters, one half-brother and one half-sister preceded him in death.

The body will be taken from the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home today.
