Margaret M. Greiner, 89, of Grundy Center, formerly of Cedar Falls died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Grundy Long Term Unit in Grundy Center.

She was born Aug. 30, 1920, daughter of Henry and Agnes Beck Schmitz in Eagle Center. She married Raymond A. Greiner April 12, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo. He preceded her in death April 9, 2000.

Survived by three sons, Ron of Dike, Tom (Melinda) of Cedar Falls, and John (Nicole) of Cataula, Ga.; two daughters, Karen Greiner of St. Paul, Minn., and Jane (Louis Grant) Greiner of Northampton, Pa.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sister Frances Schmitz OSF of Springfield, Ill., and Clare Staebell of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by an infant child; and two brothers, Robert and Loren Schmitz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Eagle Center. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a 4:30 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Vistitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorial will be established.
