WATERLOO - Janet J. Armstrong, 76, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Waterloo, daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Dorn Curran. She married Dale Armstrong on Sept. 5, 1959, in Riceville.

Mrs. Armstrong was employed at the Ramada Inn and later managed the restaurant at Maple Lanes.

Survived by three daughters, Debra King and Michele Armstrong, both of Evansdale, and Vickie (Ron) Brinkley of Waterloo; two sons, Scott Medhaug of Cedar Falls and Michael (Sandra) Armstrong of Blue Springs, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Bolin of Cedar Falls; and a sister-in-law, Liz Curran of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, James Curran.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
