Lee Norman Durnil, 56, of Jesup, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Norman Grant and Carol Lee Allen Durnil. He married Rhonda Sue Masteller on June 29, 1985, at First United Methodist Church, Jesup.

Mr. Durnil graduated from Jesup High School in 1974, then took instruction in mechanics at Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo. He operated Lee’s Towing Service and worked as a mechanic. He most recently had worked as a mechanic for Brown National Leasing, Cedar Falls.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Matthew, Ryan and Chad, all of Jesup; a daughter, Leah Durnil of Jesup; a grandson, Dalton Kennedy of Independence; his mother, Carol Redmon of Waterloo; three brothers, Steve (Sandy) Ferguson of Cedar Falls, Allen (Jodi) Durnil of Janesville and Tim Redmon of Atlanta; and three sisters, Lynn (Doug) Bohlen, Lesa (Michael) Ruane and Lea Ann (Tony) Wendling, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his father; his stepmother, Janice Durnil; and his stepfather, Gene Redmon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in New Barclay Cemetery, both in Jesup. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
