WATERLOO - Lyle Daniels, 54, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Allen Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 10, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Clyde H. Sr. and Betty M. Stutt Daniels. On Sept. 1, 1973, he married Michele A. Weltzin at Morning Star Chapel, Waterloo.

Mr. Daniels graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1971 and worked at Means Services for 18 years.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Ryan (Crystal) of Cedar Falls and Timothy of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Tanner Daniels and McKenzie Lake; four brothers, Richard (Nancy) of Cedar Falls, Ronald, Clyde Jr. and Keith, all of Waterloo; and six sisters, Marie Daniels, Bonnie (Jesse) Gonzales, Ethel Gates, Phyllis (David) Morehouse , Anita Kinard and Debra Daniels, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with visitation an hour before.

Memorials may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.

Lyle loved fishing, taking long walks, reading western novels, eating homemade doughnuts that his wife made, and most of all, spending time with his family.
