Services for Dorothy M. Steils, 85, of 1212 Sheldon Ave., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Steils died Sunday morning (July 5, 1987) at Covenant Medical Center at Kimball Avenue. The cause of death was not disclosed.

She was bom July 27, 1901, in Waterloo, daughter of William and Sarah Lantz Griffith. She married Walter Keckler in 1919. He preceded her in death. She married Joseph T. Steils on April 14, 1937, in Waterloo. He died in March 1984.

She and her husband farmed in the Washburn area for 30 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Schwickerath of 831 Loretta Ave.; a sister, Mrs. Senora Bartosh of Parkview Gardens Care Center; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Keckler, in 1957; two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be at 7 and a Scripture service at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the church.
