CEDAR FALLS — Milford D. Stewart, 89, of the Western Home, formerly of Dike and Hudson, died at the home Monday, Nov. 6, 1995, of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 9, 1906, in Washington County, son of Walter and Addie Romine Stewart. He married Jeanette Wright on Aug. 14, 1937, in Dike. She died June 1,1983. He mamed Erma Cole Dufel on Dec. 28, 1985, in Hudson. She died Aug. 9, 1994.

Mr. Stewart received bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in 1930. He worked for Oliver Tractor Co. in Charles City, Deere & Co. and International Harvester. He farmed in rural Dike from 1951 to 1968, when he retired, and then did consulting work.

Survived by a son, Doug of rural Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; four sisters, Vida Ebener and Helen Anderson, both of Waterloo, and Jean Schinske and Janet Wolshlager, both of Watervliet, Mich.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Warren, Merlin; and Gerald; and a sister, Myrtle Farnsworth.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation also 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and an hour before services at the church.
