Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Keams-Dykeman Chapel for Lloyd H. McKinney, 79, of 3320 Gilbertville Road, who died at his home at 3:30 p.m. Monday of a heart attack.

Mr. McKinney was a retired assistant chief of the Waterloo fire department.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. McKinney was born June 5, 1898, in Tyrone, Mo., the son of Austin and Iva Com McKinney. He married Marie Morrow Sept. 7, 1922, in Waterloo.

He joined the Waterloo Fire Department Sept. 1, 1923, was promoted to lieutenant May 1, 1939, captain on April 16, 1948, and assistant chief April 15, 1968. During his 44 years as a member of the Waterloo Fire Department he did not miss a single day of Work. After he retired, he was employed by

Kearns-Dykeman Chapel until retiring last month.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Clinton of Nampa, Idaho; a brother, Glen of Bothell, Wash.; two sisters, Ruby Roberts of Springfield, Mo., and Ona Hubbard of Houston, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
