WATERLOO - David L. Driscol, 55, of Kalona, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at his home after a brief illness.

He was born March 12, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Arnold G. and Darlene Willwerth Driscol. He married Margaret Wade on Oct. 7, 1972, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Richmond.

He graduated from La Porte City High School and was an electrical engineer at the University of Iowa College of Engineering for 33 years.

Survived by his wife; four sons, Jeffery of Urbana, Shawn (Lacie) of Streamwood, Ill., Courtney of Iowa City and Christopher (Shannon Fisher) of Kalona; his father of La Porte City; two brothers, Daniel (Cheri) of Dysart and Robert (Laurie) of La Porte City; and three sisters, Luella Driscol of La Porte City, Shirley (Jim) Jacoby of Evansdale and Pam (Ken) Hilton of Red Wing, Minn.

Preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Carol Jensen.

Services: were Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church, with burial in St. Josephs Cemetery, both in Iowa City. Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Boy Scouts of America.
