WATERLOO - Donna Mae Eylers, 76, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, in Watertown, S.D., from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born April 8, 1929, in St. Olaf, daughter of Benhard and Mabel Koss Schmidt. She married Martin W. Eylers on April 27, 1950, in Garnavillo. He preceded her in death April 2, 1985.

She graduated from Monona High School and had been employed in medical records at Schoitz Memorial Hospital/Covenant Medical Center for 26 years, retiring in September 1989. She was past president of the Waterloo Eagles Auxiliary.

Survived by a son, Mark (Sarah) of Waterloo; a daughter, Elaine (Randall) Eckhoff of Waterloo; and five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Steven; and a brother, Duane Schmidt.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. in the Garnavillo Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, where there will be a 7 p.m. Fraternal Order of Eagles memorial service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Waterloo Eagles Aerie No. 764.
