Louis Beck, 47, of Buckingham, life-long resident and farmer in the Eagle Center community, died at 5:55 a. m. Saturday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart attack suffered Thursday.

He was born June 16, 1907, in Buckingham, the son of Anton and Christina Beck. He married Amanda Peters, Sept. 17, 1929, at Eagle Center. He was a member of St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel Church, Eagle Center.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald, Buckingham; a daughter, Mrs. Rose, Keese, Buckingham; a sister, Mrs. Julia Klein, Ashton, and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

The body is at the Johanssen Funeral Home, La Porte City, and will be taken to the home Sunday. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a. m. at St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel Church at Eagle Center with burial in the church cemetery.
