Charles Franklin Irons, 74, of 1130 Amherst Ave., died at 1:30 a. m. Saturday at his home of complications due to advanced age.

Mr. Irons was born Mar. 10, 1880, at Garrison, the son of John and Nancy Blough Irons. He married Elsie Fike at Waterloo, July 10, 1909, and had been a Waterloo resident since 1926. Mr. Irons was employed at the Rath Packing Co. for about 18 years until his retirement in 1945.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ray L., 70 Garden Ave.; Harold F., 1631 W. llth St., and John J., at home; one daughter, Mrs. Fred White, Bachelor, Mo.; one brother, John, Corvalis, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Emma Blough, Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p. m. Monday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home with Kenneth Holmes, minister of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregaation, officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Garrison.
