WATERLOO - Vera T. Heronimus, 89, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 25, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of cancer.

She was born Aug. 15, 1915, in Grundy County, daughter of George and Edith Bloxham Eygabroad. She married Samuel G. Heronimus on Dec. 25, 1934, at her parents home in rural Grundy County. He died Nov. 24, 2001.

Mrs. Heronimus was very active at Linden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting and sewing.

Survivors include a son, James M. (Michele Mary) of Waterloo; three daughters, Marjorie (Louie) Ohlendorf and Mary Medd, both of Waterloo, and Linda (James) Knight of Evansdale; 10 grandchildren, Elaine (Steve) Chamberlain, Jerry (Lois) Ohlendorf, David Medd, Brian Medd, April (Duane) Clark, Craig Medd, Eric (Kathy) Medd, Eairon Medd, Timothy Heronimus and Thomas (Shanda) Knight; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Wilbur (Lorna) Heronimus.

Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Annie Anderson and Ruth Eygabroad; and a son-in-law, Roger Medd.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Linden United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Vera will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
