CEDAR FALLS - William Russell Zach, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Cedar Falls, son of Louie and Sylvia Clements Zach. He married Ione M. Rieger on Oct. 27, 1945, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Zach was employed by Viking Pump Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1975. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in North Africa, Italy, Corsica and Trinidad.

Survived by his wife.

Preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Pfary.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call for an hour before services Friday at the church. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
