Herbert Archibald Watters, 61, of Hudson, died at Schoitz Memoral Hospital at 12:45 a. m. Friday of aplastic anemia.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1893, at Grundy Center, la., the son of Jacob and Mary Watters. Mr. Watters resided in Hudson most of his life, where he was engaged as a carpenter. On Feb. 25, 1914, he was married to Anna Marie Nienaber at Round Lake, Minn.

Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Schmitz, Hudson; Mrs. Lester Reddish, Oduni, Ga.; Mrs. Helen Davisson, 506 W. llth St.; Mrs. Francis Jaspers, 170 South Barclay St.; two sons, Lyle of Jesup and Calvin of 819 Hickory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two children who died in infancy, a son and a daughter. Eighteen grandchildren also survive.

The body was taken to the Locke Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Hudson Evangelical United Brethren Church for Herbert A. Watters, 61, of Hudson, who died Friday. The Rev. Leland Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery. The casket will be taken to the church at noon from the Locke Funeral Home.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lulu Thompson, Omaha, and two brothers, Paul, Fredericksburg, Va., and Raleigh, Hudson.
