Mrs. Katherine Frost, 83, of Rt. 3, La Porte City, died at 1:30 a. m., Tuesday, at St. Francis Hospital of complications incident to advanced age.

She was born Feb. 8, 1880, at Gilbertville, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Thielen Bastendorf. She was married to Nicholas Frost Sept. 12, 1906, at Templeton. They made their home on their farm near La Porte City where they lived their entire married life. She was a member of the Emmaculate Conception Church, Gilbertville, and the Rosary Society.

She is survived by two sons Thomas W., of Watertown, Wis., and Richard, of Rt. 3, La Porte City; and five daughters, Gertrude Frost, at home; Mrs. Helen Kelley, of Rt. 4, Waterloo; Mrs. Mildred Krueger, at home; Mrs. Richard Smith, of 926 Leavitt St., and Mrs. Vincent Driscoll Jr., of 816 Denver St.; one brother, William, of Temileton; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Conley, of 1117 Leavitt St.; Mrs. Tress Fox, of Templeton, and Mrs. Nick Brustkern, of 1920 E. Ridgeway; 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded by parents, her husband, and two sons in infancy.

Friends may call at the family home after 12 noon, Wednesday.

Arrangements are pending at the Oppold funeral home.
