Michael Duane Burdick, 53, of Reinbeck, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

He was born Aug. 25, 1960, in Waterloo, son of Russell and Evelyn Aswegan Burdick.

He grew up in the Reinbeck area and attended school at River Hills and Adults Inc. in Waterloo. He had worked at Almonds Greenhouse and Covenant Hospital in Waterloo, Crystal Bowl in Grundy Center, Trunck’s in Reinbeck and delivered the Reinbeck Courier to stores on Main Street in Reinbeck. He was member of the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck.

Survived by his parents of Reinbeck; a brother, David (Tonya Vozar) of Reinbeck; a sister, Connie (Jerry) of Reinbeck; two nephews, Jordan (Jessica) Thede and Jerin Thede; three nieces, Jena Thede, Katie Burdick and Shaina Vozar; and two great-nephews, Gage Cutsforth and Mason Thede.

Preceded in death by a nephew, Logan Thede.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Reinbeck, with burial in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck.
