WATERLOO -- Bonnie Kay Halstead, 77, of Waterloo, formerly of Storm Lake, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 11, 1936, in New Hampton, daughter of Kenneth and Mildred Trewin Head. She married Richard Halstead on Aug. 2, 1958, in New Hampton.

A 1954 graduate of Charles City High School, Charles City, she worked in administrative services for Fish Johnson Insurance before retiring.

Survived by her husband; three sons, Kevin (Monica) of Muscatine, Kent (Laurel) of Indianola and Kregg (Araks) of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; a daughter, Kandice (Jeff) Tjebkes of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren, Taylor (Emily), Zachary, Zane, Nathan, Danny, Madison and Mark Halstead, and Kaelen, Kamryn and Kason Tjebkes; and a brother, Lowell (Sandra) Head of Alta Vista.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
