CEDAR FALLS - Services for Louis J. Shimpach, 65, of 1421 Madison St., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Shimpach died early Saturday (June 25, 1988) at Sartori Memorial Hospital of complications following surgery.

He was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Owatonna, Minn., son of Louis J. and Olive Thibodeau Shimpach. He married Virginia Leuer June 23, 1952, in Mallard.

He was a plumber for Dalton Plumbing and Heating for 30 years, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Dederich of Naperville, Ill., Mrs. Jean Griffin of Cocoa, Fla., and Mrs. Sharon Shannon of West Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Louise Hagarty of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary and Jeanette.

Friends may call at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, where a rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday.
