CEDAR FALLS - Wayne A. Aldrich, 63, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born May 5, 1943, in Waterloo, son of Glen and Clara Furlong Aldrich. He married Michele Adney on Aug. 28, 1965, in Chula Vista, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and received his associate degree from Southwestern College, Chula Vista, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, and an MBA from Norwich University, Norwich, Vt.

Mr. Aldrich had been employed in the Sweet Water School District, Chula Vista, from 1967 to 1975, and then was director of distribution at Allen Memorial Hospital from 1975 to 1994. He then was operations manager for Agape Therapy from 1995 until 2001 and also owned and operated Enviro-Saf Inc. from 1989 to 1999.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Lisa (Jonathan) Zeissler of Cedar Falls and Dorinda (Mark) Quade of Cottage Grove, Minn.; four grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Diane) Houser of Waterloo; and three sisters, Beverly (Harry) Mercurio of Cedar Falls, Shirley (Ron) Hayungs of La Porte City and Linda (Ron) Schmitz of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eugene Aldrich; and a sister, Darlene Cook.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
