WATERLOO - Carolyn F. Buchholz, 69, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Allen Hospital.

She was born Jan. 22, 1944, in Independence, daughter of Lloyd I. and Bertha C. Quinn Buck. She married Donald L. Nichols in Independence and they later divorced.

She graduated from Independence High School and was a member at St. John Maxfield Lutheran Church, Denver.

Survived by two daughters, Julie (Chris) Foust of Waterloo and Jeanette (Joe) Stacey of Clutier; two sons, Jeff (Jeanie) Nichols of Janesville and Joe Nichols of Davenport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her significant other, Robert Buchholz of Waterloo; two sisters, Darlene Rausch of Waterloo and Edith (Dutch) Forsyth of Independence; and a brother-in-law, Don Wagner of St. Louis.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wagner and Dorothy Walton.

Graveside services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Her body has been cremated. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
