Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hudson for Janet Taylor Anderson, 60, 201 Sunny Lane. Dr. Myron Albertson, Pastor will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery with Locke Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held from 3"00 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home with the Hudson AMVETS Post Auxiliary public service at 6:30 p.m.

Janet passed away suddenly Saturday evening, April 20, 1996 due to a massive heart attack.

She was born November 14, 1935, the daughter of Melvin and Esther Matthias. She married Mark Taylor December 7, 1953 and they were later divorced. She married Paul Gene Anderson on September 4, 1991.

Mrs. Anderson was a cosmetologist all her life and owned and operated Janet's Beauty Salon in Hudson for many years. She was most devoted to her family and provided support to many friends and acquaintances. She was known for her creative abilities as a seamstress and a crafts person. Janet was a member and officer of the Hudson AMVETS Auxiliary and an active member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Gene, three sons, William and Beth Taylor of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Robert and Darlene Taylor of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Joel and Amy Taylor of Hudson, Iowa; a stepson, Dan and Marta Anderson of Dike, Iowa, and a stepdaughter, Dannette Anderson, also of Dike; eleven grandchildren: Amy, Sharlene, Jerod, Nathan, Lisa, Amanda, David and Todd Taylor, and Tucker, Zachary and Cole Anderson; her mother, Esther Spooner of Waterloo; two sisters, Carol Risvold of Traer, Maxine Layne of Debary, Florida, and a brother, Leroy Matthias of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Kenneth Matthias.
