Charles F. Kelley, 76, of 145 Rainbow drive, Castle Hill, died at 6 a. m. Wednesday at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications incident to advanced age.

Mr. Kelley was born May 21, 1874, at Jefferson, Ia., the son of Charles C. and Emma Kelley. He married Wllhelmina Morlan in Jefferson Dec. 7, 1897. They came to Waterloo in 1913 from Ft. Dodge, Ia.

An employe of the Illinois Central railroad as a machinist, Mr. Kelley retired some 10 years ago He was a member of Waterloo lodge 328, Loyal Order of Moose, and Central Christian Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. E. R. Bitterly, 145 Rainbow Drive, Castle Hill, and Mrs. I. H. Chamberlin, 901 Baltimore Street; five sisters: Mrs. C. E. Carr, Nixa, Mo., Mrs. Addie Daggett, Cedar Rapids, Ia., Mrs. Adolph Kellner, Ft. Dodge, Ia., Mrs. Clifford Rhoades, Jefferson, Ia., and Mrs. R. C. Mott, San Francisco, Cal.; five brothers, J. w. Kelley, Wapato, Wash., Leo Kelley, Sioux Falls, S. D., Edward Kelley, 508½ West Fourth Street, Harry and Elmer Kelley, Jefferson, Ia.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1937, and one brother.

The body is at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Services are tentatively planned for Saturday afternoon.
