PUTERBAUGH, LICHTY, WISNER, WHITTING

Mary Lichty Puterbaugh, 79, of 1312 Grant Avenue, died at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications of advanced age.

Mrs. Puterbaugh was born June 26, 1871, in Orange Township, the daughter of John M. and Amy Lichty. Her parents moved to Waterloo about 1890, and she attended schools both here and in Orange Township.

On Aug. 27, 1917, she was married to Benjamin F. Puterbaugh in Chicago. They made their home in Waterloo. Mrs. Puterbaugh was an active member of First Brethren Church.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. J. W. Lichty, 260 Hammond Avenue; one sister-in-law, Mrs. C. A. Lichty, Evanston, Ill.; two stepsons, Dr. Milton P. Puterbaugh, Kansas City, Mo., and Myron F. Puterbaugh, St. Croix Falls, Wis.; and three nieces; Mrs. F. A. Wisner, 708 Home Park Boulevard, Mrs. Clifford C. Whitting, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Edna Lichty, 260 Hammond Avenue.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in May 1931, and three brothers, Irvin, Calvin A. and Albert F. Lichty.

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. Services are pending.
