WATERLOO, IOWA - Millie Plummer, 80, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 15, at Lakeview Lodge, of cancer.

She was born May 15, 1924, in Jesup, daughter of Adam and Marie Kramer Schmidt. She married William J. Plummer on June 24, 1950, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 21, 2001.

Mrs. Plummer was a homemaker and worked as a Welcome Wagon hostess. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include: a son, Scott of Chicago; a daughter; Patricia (Terry) Luloff of Cedar Falls; two granddaughters, Shannon and Tiffany Luloff; a brother; Anthony (Ramona) Schmidt of Waterloo; and a sister, Rose Bahl of Framingham, Mass.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Louis, Vincent and Alfred Schmidt; and two sisters, Esther Schmidt and Margaret Meyer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
