WATERLOO - William A. Krie, 68, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013.

He was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Waterloo, son of Orin S. and Orra B. Holcomb Krie. He married Barbara Hodge on July 8, 1966, in Tennessee.

A U.S. Air Force veteran during Vietnam, Mr. Krie worked for 29 years at Koehring Crane Co. in Waverly, the Baptist Home in Arcadia Valley, Mo., and retired from Hancock County Senior Services in Greenfield, Ind., in 2011. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survived by his wife; a son, Brian (Gwen) of Mount Vernon, Ind.; a daughter, Serena (Arlo) Swinton of Waverly; six grandchildren, Andrew Krie, Jacob Rewerts and Sierra Rewerts, all of Waverly, and Madison Krie, Dayton Krie and Alivia Krie, all of Mount Vernon; and two sisters, Carol Turner of Fredonia, Kan., and Kathy Ragsdale of Iowa

Preceded in death by his parents.

No services will be held locally. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, is in charge of arrangements.

William enjoyed genealogy, history, garage sales, reading, watching Colts football, and being with the grandkids.
