WATERLOO - Phyllis C. "Phyz" May, 53, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at her home of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 11, 1952, in Waterloo, daughter of William B. and Helen Moore May.

She was raised in Waterloo and graduated from West High School with the class of 1970. She was a longtime employee of the John Deere Co. and worked mainly as an inspector, retiring in 2002.

During her life she loved her independence, going to rodeos and was very fond of her dog, Matzi.

Survived by her parents, William and Margaret May of Lake View, Ark.

Preceded in death by her birth mother, Helen.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories.
