CEDAR FALLS - Thomas William Meyne, 52, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waverly and Denver, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born March 18, 1961, in Des Moines, son of Willard and Marie Kurtt Meyne.

He graduated from Denver High School in 1979 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 to 1987. Mr. Meyne then graduated from Northeast Nebraska Community College, Norfolk, Neb., in 1990. During his life he worked as a video security specialist for President Casinos and as a bartender at the AMVETS in Waverly. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Denver.

Survived by his mother of Waverly; and a sister, Julie Meyne of Waverly.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Denver, with burial in the church cemetery with honors by Waverly Area Veteran Groups. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
