WATERLOO - Phyllis Arline Pett, 96, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Charles City, daughter of Guy and Hazel Clammer. She married Harold “Doc” Pett on Oct. 9, 1939, in Charles City. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pett was a nurses aide at Schoitz Memorial Hospital and later worked in the cafeteria at Bunger and Jewitt.

Survived by a son, Michael (Theresa) of Elk Run Heights; two grandchildren, Karey (Andy) Schultz and Christopher (Amber) Pett; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Alivia and Drew Schultz and Harper Pett.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Corliss and Tom Clammer.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Phyllis enjoyed camping with Harold and cooking. She was the perfect Grandma and homemaker. Phyllis baked cookies and pies.
