CEDAR FALLS - Services for Howard Watkins, 72, of 2009 Bluff St. will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Erickson Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery. He died Sunday at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born May 20, 1909, in Grant County, S.D., son of Louis and Grace McCormich Watkins. He married Viola Kuchenreuther March 17, 1935, at Estherville. She died Aug. 3, 1960. He married Margaret Hoff Aug. 10, 1981, at Cedar Falls. He was employed for many years at Viking Pump of Cedar Falls.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger of Mount Horeb, Wis.; two daughters, Donna Pitts of Hudson, and Karen Hofreiter of Charles City; a brother, Claire of Seattle; a sister, Bernice Koestler of Le Seur, Minn.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday until service time.
